Cypress Calvin might only be 8 years old, but her ability to inspire is immeasurable. Her dedication to being the best version of herself, but also helping others do the same is something we could all learn from.
Cypress carries herself with a true passion for being generous. Her love for her family and her faith in God are beacons that guide her to give back to her community. Whether she’s participating in local and national Bible quizzing competitions (and scoring off the charts!) or lending a hand in her community, Cypress embodies benevolence. She wears her faith on her sleeve, and in a world that sometimes seems chaotic, it’s helped her to find clarity for what matters most to her. She’s often found encouraging her classmates, ensuring others aren’t left out, and sharing her spirit for caring with those around her. It’s the kind of attitude that exudes joy and we could all afford a little more of that.
Cypress is passionate about everything she does. When her mother, Carrie, asked her what she wants to be when she grows up, she said, “I want to be like you. I want to be one of those people that help other people.”
Truly inspirational, and for all the right reasons! Her mother is proud and she should be. Raising such a kind soul who reciprocates kindness is worth beaming about. But Cypress continues to surprise even her mother in the ways she is compassionate.
Cypress jumps at the opportunity to volunteer in her community, whether she’s helping hand out waters or assembling meals with her mom’s Rotary club. Her sister, Cayenne, also helps out. And both girls are begging to volunteer! An inspirational family possessing a servant’s heart through and through.
Next up, Cypress will be pursuing her Bible quizzing studies. She plans to participate in a state jamboree in November, and eventually in the first official tournament in January 2022. Surely along the way Cypress will find new and creative ways to help give back to her community! She continues to exemplify what it means to inspire, and we’re excited to see the impact she has on this world.
